  • South Coast Botanic Garden, Palos Verdes: South Coast Botanic Garden is one of the world's first botanical gardens to be developed over a sanitary landfill.

  • Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area: This 308-acre park features a Japanese garden, a workout course, athletic fields & scenic trails.

  • Greystone Mansion: also known as the Doheny Mansion, is a Tudor Revival mansion on a landscaped estate with distinctive formal English gardens, located in Beverly Hills.

  • Exposition Park Rose Gardens: a historic 7-acre sunken garden located in Exposition Park in Los Angeles. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

  • Leo Carillo State Park: a component of Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area preserving 1.5 miles of beach at the foot of the Santa Monica Mountains.

  • Franklin Canyon Park: a public park located near Benedict Canyon at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains. The park comprises 605 acres.

  • Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook: Hilltop park with views of Downtown Los Angeles plus hiking trails & history exhibits.

  • Fox Hills Park: A recreation area with picnic spots, a playground, tennis & basketball courts & a soccer field.

  • Culver City Park: Leisure space on 41+ acres for ball sports, picnics & grilling, plus a dog park & skateboard area.

  • Clutter's Park: Best place to watch the planes take off, near LAX.

  • Polliwog Park: Park boasting a large pond & amphitheater for events plus a 9-hole disc golf course & play areas, located in Manhattan Beach.

  • Charles H. Wilson Park: Sports & recreation area for jogging, volleyball, basketball, tennis, roller hockey & more.

  • Ernie Howlett Park: Multiple sports courts & fields, plus facilities for picnics, tennis tournaments & horse shows.

  • Wilderness Park: located in Redondo Beach.

  • Alondra Park & Splash Pad: Outdoor public playground with swings, climbing equipment & a kid-friendly fountain.

  • South Park: A playground, picnic tables & plenty of open green space are available at this community park.

  • Columbia Park: Columbia Park is a 52-acre recreational urban regional park in the City of Torrance.

  • Burton Chace Park: the largest public park in Marina del Rey, comprising approximately 12 acres, the park is located on Mindanao Way near Admiralty Way.

  • Marina's Beach: commonly referred to as Mother's Beach--a man made beach area including a playground, picnic tables & other kid-friendly attractions at a surf-free sheltered beach.

  • Lake Balboa-Anthony C. Beilenson Park: Grassy open space with a 19,600-sq.-ft. maritime-themed playground & interactive drum play area.

  • Shoreline Aquatic Park: Grassy, open park on the water offering picnic areas, a lighthouse & special events.
